Telephonic is pleased to announce native support for Google Voice accounts.
Telephonic is able to accomplish native inter-connect with Google Voice using the newly released Asterisk 1.8.1. The Asterisk open-source IP-PBX project has worked closely Google to provide this integration. Google regards Asterisk as a key method of adding advanced business and call centre functionality to the more basic, core Google Voice service.
For those of your who are new to Google Voice, it is a telecommunications service by Google launched on March 11, 2009 and normally available only to US residents. As of January 25th, 2011, US residents are now also able to port their existing USA telephone number to the Google Voice service.
